Cookery & Wine

Waking up at 3am, paralysed down the right side of her body and unable to speak, Susan Kitson was rushed to hospital. A week later, after a devastating diagnosis, she embarked on a journey to regain health. Using her body as a Petri dish, she experimented with different approaches to nutrition and exercise. During the next five years she researched and trialled many foods and different ways of living. Discarding what didn't help and improving upon what did, the 21 steps to glowing health were developed. Introducing herself with a brief but candid overview of what started her on her journey to health, she goes on to clearly guide the reader through each of the 21 steps. The steps are practical, achievable, and can be incorporated into anyone's life, in any order, including as few or as many as desired. This book is for readers wanting to improve their health, feel more vital and alive, manage their weight, gain energy, and learn more about themselves. From those who just want to tweak their lifestyle, to people who have been diagnosed with a serious illness, this book provides 21 straightforward steps to glowing health. The steps cover food choices (including recipes), toxins to avoid, exercise, health boosting drinks, mindfulness, eye and brain health, vitamin D, Ayurveda, face care, vaginal health, breathing, sleeping, and chewing. They are realistic changes that can be incorporated smoothly into everyday life, leading to enhanced wellbeing. Friendly and informative, the 21 steps offer a simple approach to great health. In Search of Health tells a little of her journey, and describes in detail the 21 steps towards glowing health.
